Built around the business behind the event.

Every project brings together people, equipment, places, and promises. ShowDesk connects those details in a business operations platform designed for event production, equipment rental, audiovisual, entertainment, and event service businesses.

Built by an industry operator. Driven by research.

Matt Klich has built and led event businesses behind thousands of events across all 50 states. He brings that experience directly to ShowDesk.

Through Clik Entertainment, OPERATION GLOW®, and MASSIVE®, his work spans live entertainment, touring experiences, and audiovisual production. Each year, those businesses deliver events at hundreds of institutions and produce events for internationally recognized artists, bringing national reach and hands-on industry leadership to the platform.

That scale means understanding what it takes to move a show from the first conversation to the final load-out: client expectations, venue requirements, equipment, crews, schedules, and the details that connect them. Matt brings that operating perspective directly into the product, with a clear understanding of the work event businesses need their software to support.

As ShowDesk's founder and creator, Matt originated the concept and led its design and development. He pairs more than 15 years of industry leadership with hands-on software engineering to build a platform around the realities of running an event business.

His technical background includes a master's in Software & Systems Development from DePaul University and Ph.D. candidacy at the University of Cincinnati. His research interests span human-computer interaction, information visualization, collaborative computing, and artificial intelligence.

That combination of operating experience and research informs ShowDesk's longer-term direction: helping people understand how changing requirements, resources, and commitments affect an entire operation, and what information they need to make a reliable decision.

Give the whole project a shared context.

The venue contact influences access. The equipment specification informs the quote. The client's request affects the plan. ShowDesk brings these connections into the workspace where your team manages the work.

Relationships with real detail

A person can work with several businesses and play different roles on different projects. Keep those relationships, business contact details, and project responsibilities connected, with personal details stored separately.

Equipment with operational context

Move between a catalog item and its physical assets, locations, condition, accessories, and maintenance history. Build kits, packages, and quotes around the resources your business actually manages.

Projects with a fuller picture

Keep event timing, venue access, contacts, actions, quotes, and supporting documents together. Give the people working on the project a connected record to consult as plans develop.

Useful answers. Clear sources. Human decisions.

Our approach to AI starts with the work itself: researching an unfamiliar fixture, finding a venue's access time, or understanding the documents behind a project. The value is in helping your team reach useful information and check where it came from.

Research equipment, then review the details

AI inventory research uses an equipment title with its manufacturer and model to look up product information, including dimensions, weight, and electrical requirements. Suggestions include source links. Your team reviews the product match and chooses which fields to apply; saved research retains its sources and research date.

Ask about the information your team has saved

Ask ShowDesk questions in everyday language about company records, project details, and relevant supported attachments. Answers link back to supporting records so your team can inspect the context. AI answers assist the person doing the work; they do not independently change project records.

Ask ShowDesk and AI equipment research are included in every plan, with no feature upgrade or separate AI API key required. These tools share your company's included allowance. Additional AI resources are only needed to continue beyond that allowance.

Researching the next step in operational intelligence

Beyond today's AI assistance, ShowDesk is pursuing research into methods that could reason across incomplete or conflicting operational information, identify dependencies, and support plans that can be checked against confirmed requirements. These are research objectives whose technical feasibility remains to be established, with event production and equipment rental as the initial application areas.

Explore our technology and research direction

Different kinds of event work. Connected operational needs.

ShowDesk is designed for businesses that sell, prepare, coordinate, and deliver event services. Explore how the same connected workspace supports different parts of the industry.

Event production and live entertainment

Connect client relationships with project stages, team assignments, functional event timing, access windows, and the supporting information needed to prepare for a show.

Equipment rental and audiovisual

Bring inventory catalogs, individual assets, warehouse locations, kits, labor, and project quotes into the same system, with product specifications close to the equipment record.

Wedding and event service professionals

Keep personal clients, business contacts, venues, and partners connected to the right project. Organize documents and quotes, and give authorized clients a place to communicate with your team.

Businesses with multiple brands

Manage different brands within one company account, each with its own name, logo, contact details, and business information. Choose a default brand for new projects and switch among the account and portal contexts you are authorized to access.

Keep the detail. Make it easier to use.

Event work has details that deserve their own place. ShowDesk's design brings those details together while keeping the decisions with the people responsible for the project.

Be precise about the plan

Event time and venue access time answer different questions. A catalog item and an individual asset describe different things. Preserve those distinctions so the team can work from meaningful records.

Collaborate with clear boundaries

Clients and partners can review shared information, published quotes, and project messages according to their permissions. Change requests go to the team for review before approved updates take effect.

Make repeatable work easier

Reuse templates for actions, meetings, and client touchpoints. Review resource information through filtered reports and CSV exports. Keep the context useful from the next inquiry to the next project.
